Cotton Babydoll Dress

My client came to me with a $18 clearance IKEA duvet cover and a want for a new summer dress. She was unsure on the design, but through collaboration and looking at other dresses for inspiration we decided on a babydoll dress. Consisting of a princess seamed bodice with a shoulder ruffle and a tiered gathered skirt in a midi length. This custom order needed to be finished in two days for the clients trip. So after a day and a half of drafting, sewing, and two fittings with the client, a dress emerged from my sewing space!!
