“On The Razzle” is a 1880’s show and I primarily worked on the bustles, apron, and skirt trim of the two dresses my team created.
The bustles and apron where flat mounted with silk organza with hand sewn bias faced hems. Hems had either pleated or gathered trim with a small contrasting trim. Pleats in the apron and bustle are controlled with hand sewing and twill tape. Front and back where then binded off at the waist, joined on one side seam, and closed with hooks and snaps on the other.
The skirts are trimmed with pleats or ruffles and small contrasting trim to match the apron and bustle.
